My name is Dulce Strudwick and I’m the founder of happygolingo. I’ve been evolving this product for a while – it’s a passion of mine!

I was born, raised and graduated college in Mexico but moved to the United States many years ago, where I met and married a WONDERFUL guy who happened to have emigrated here from England. Our two daughters were born in New Jersey, and we have since moved to Atlanta, Georgia. So as you can see, we are truly a multicultural family!

I have spent the last few years developing a tool to make teaching kids Spanish easier and more approachable. It all started  when my first daughter was born. I struggled to find a fun and easy way to get my daughters involved with my native language, Spanish.

In addition to Spanish, I wanted them to learn French, but I don’t know French! I followed all the advise at the time, bought all the books and even took them to France to immerse them in the language.

I learned a lot of lessons from my daughters … what works and what doesn’t work when introducing your children to another language. My struggles to teach them Spanish, which I knew and French, which I didn’t know, was the foundation of my product and company, happygolingo.

My goal is to help parents to introduce their kids to another language, even if parents don’t know that language, and help kids to learn Spanish through fun and interactive play!
